Search & Teach (Individual or Small Group) is a program for first grade students who are at risk for failure in reading. The program uses tasks to strengthen vulnerable underlying skills that children need to be successful in reading, writing, and spelling.
Rx Reading (Individual or Small Group) is a program which addresses five components of reading instruction: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Strategies for Reading Comprehension. Students work to strengthen higher level thinking skills, reading, and language.
Discovery (Individual) is a language-based intervention for students who have diagnosed learning disabilities. Techniques, geared to strengthen an individual's underlying thinking and perceptual skills, are used to help the student improve their academic progress, which, in turn, increases their self-confidence in becoming a successful learner.
Small groups will be formed with students with like ages/abilities as much as possible. Students in small groups may receive up to 15% savings off the cost of individual therapy.
Assessment of Progress: Students in educational therapy do not receive a grade report because this course is an educational intervention to strengthen vulnerable skills and is not a replacement for their academic curriculum.
