Heather is a teacher who truly cares about her students and their families.  She has worked with people of all ages for over twenty  years.  Heather has a BA in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Music  and a Masters Equivalent in Education.  She is a certified Special  Education teacher who has worked in public and private school. Heather is enjoying homeschooling her own daughter and son all the way through high school.  Her teenage son is on the Autism spectrum with ADHD. She also  has taught private voice lessons and is a part of her church's worship team.  Serving others, whether it's as a small group leader, Sunday school teacher, or life course instructor, brings Heather joy,  especially if chocolate is involved.  She and her husband returned to Maryland and settled in Pasadena in 2005,  after traveling the west coast with the U.S. Marine Corp.  Jesus and good books kept her company while her husband was fighting in Iraq and she hopes to inspire her students to love reading and Jesus, as well.

Elementary Math and Literature Gretchen is a homeschool mom of five exceptional children, most of  which have at least one learning difference including ADHD, Autism, High  Intelligence, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalulia. She holds a BS in  Elementary Education from Towson University, and has taught in both PG  and Anne Arundel counties. She has worked as a classroom teacher, and a  mentor teacher for new teachers, but her favorite position was working  as a Math Resource Teacher. This provided her the opportunity to help  children who struggled in Math classes, like she had as a kid, so they  could learn the material while also building their confidence.  Gretchen's teaching style stems from her two favorite quotes; "All good  things are wild and free," and "If I can't learn how you teach, then teach how I learn." She joined LWG in the fall of 2023 while looking for  the best homeschool placement for two of her children that have Dyslexia. She began teaching there for only a few classes and is now a full convert!

My name is Katie Kinch and I am a wife, a mother to four amazing children,  and a child of the King. Our family moved to Maryland four years ago, making this our 12th home! My husband, who retired from the military one year ago, and I loved Maryland so much that we decided to make Maryland our permanent home. My love for teaching began when the Lord called me to homeschool our eldest son, 12 years ago and we continued with our other children. I so enjoyed teaching and watching our children grow in  their love and curiosity for learning while fostering their little hearts to love our Lord. Over the years, I taught science, math, Bible and preschool across several tutorials. I strongly believe that the love and curiosity of learning is fostered at a young age. My desire as a teacher is to grow my students'  excitement for learning while building confidence in who God says  they are. In my classes, we have fun while we learn, incorporate lots of hands-on learning, inspire growth in our friendships, and pray with one  another. Psalms 127:3 says "Children are a gift from the Lord; they are  a reward from him" and I believe this strongly about my students - they are a gift!

Filled with a deep passion for kids ministry, Olivia has been serving as a Sunday school teacher for about three years, assisting a variety of ages. Her younger brother was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD and it has been hard on her and her family, but she believes God has used it as preparation for them to help and support other families going through the same trials. Olivia has been home-schooled since first grade, currently enrolled at Anne Arundel Community College. She loves the opportunities that homeschool has to offer, and really understands the necessity of a Christian tutorial that encourages children to learn on their level and in their way. She is so glad to have the chance to show Jesus to these children and help them on their academic journey.

Hello! I’m Jessica Mills, a devoted wife and proud mother of two spirited boys who attend LWG. For the past five years, I have been on an incredible journey of homeschooling, fueled by a deep commitment to meeting the unique learning needs of my children. My Philosophy is simple: I firmly believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and by engaging with the world around them. By intertwining daily life and play with our lessons, I strive to create an interactive learning environment that ignites curiosity and fosters a love for knowledge.  In my free time I love to read, plan National Park trips with my husband and kids, and love on our rescue pets 2 cats, 1 dog and our newest addition, a bearded dragon.

I am a husband of nearly 38 years and father of 3 grown children.  I am a retired Army Officer and recently retired from Federal Service after a combined 37 years of service.  I’ve always been inquisitive and from an early age loved taking things apart and putting them back together.  This natural inquisitiveness led me to study Chemical Engineering during my undergraduate work and later Systems Management at the graduate level.  I truly enjoyed taking part in my children’s activities as they were growing up whether it was school work, sports, music or other events.  Through teaching your children at Learning with

Grace, it is my hope that service to your family will be a source of encouragement and a catalyst for your child’s growth.

Hello! I’m excited to join the LWG family this coming school year! Let me introduce myself: First and foremost, I’m a grateful follower of Jesus Christ through Whom, “by grace [I] am

saved through faith and not of [myself], it is the gift of God, not of works lest [I] boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9). My husband Alan and I attend Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church where we are both active members and

serving in various ministries. We have an adorable, but ornery, 2-year-old mini-Schnauzer puppy, CeCe (short for Cookies n’ Creme). My teaching experience since 1995 has mainly been

elementary music in both Christian schools and for Anne Arundel County. Having retired fromAACPS, I’ve also been subbing for the county system on the side and have taught various elementary classes, including STEM/EEE. This experience quickly showed me that while Music and STEM may be different subjects, both are

multi-sensory, multi-learning styles, group and individually creative, and FUN! I’m looking forward to this new experience with teaching, but most importantly, getting to know my students and seeing their God-given individuality and talents in action

with what we will do and create in class. See you soon!

Im so excited to be apart of  what God has in store for Learning with Grace.  I am a stay at home wife and mother of four bright and energetic children. Im a member of Antioch the apostolic church, serving on the hospitality team. We recently have lauched Able Ministry at our church, a Christian ministry that focuses on supporting individuals with disabilities and thier families. I hope to be used by God in this space, as I have built strong connections with individuals and familes who face a multitude of challenges on a day to day basis. I enjoy the outdoors, crafts, and traveling. I have always had a love for education and little ones. It's been a blessing to have a burden for children with differences and an honor to get the opportunity to educate them. During covid my step son began his journey of learning remotely. I was right beside him and decided after his 3rd grade year that I would homeschool him exclusively. I now homeschool three of our four children. I  believe strongly that I am responsible for fostering an atmosphere that creates a love for learning. My classroom will be a safe space to think, feel, learn, connect, and grow. To be able to teach while also sharing God's love feels like a gift from Him.

Candice is the wife of a service member and a mother of 3 children who attend Learning With Grace. She has been on a homeschooling journey for nearly five years now because her oldest son was struggling in the typical learning environment.  Watching him merely surviving and not thriving because of his learning difference led her on the research study for alternative learning environments.  Candice has witnessed the beauty which homeschooling provides as well as this change was a breath of fresh air.

Candice loves learning and adjusting her teaching style or environment to each individual student’s needs or learning style as best as possible. She loves incorporating movement, interactive games, and fun activities all the while still maintaining a structured curriculum is very important in her style.

Hi I’m Holly Webster, wife to Matt, who serves as the teaching pastor at Faith Community Church, and mom to three awesome kids. We moved from Kentucky to Maryland recently, and have been enjoying the adventure of getting to know our new home. I’ve been homeschooling for nearly seven years, and it’s truly one of my greatest joys. I love the flexibility it offers and the intentional time it gives me to really know my kids and tailor their learning to how God made them. Homeschooling has allowed us to disciple their hearts as much as their minds, and I’m passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences rooted in faith, curiosity, and connection. In my free time I love to read, hike, and be on the water. I am so excited to be a part of Learning with Grace. My hope is to provide a fun and encouraging place to learn where your child can thrive.

Alejandra is a native Peruvian and mother of two, a girl and a boy. She graduated from St. Augustine University in Peru with a degree in Business Administration. Upon her arrival in the U.S. in 2007 she worked in Early Childhood Development, attaining multiple certifications while working with pre-school and young school age children. She understands what people go through when learning a new language, having arrived in the U.S. with little fluency in English. Alejandra and her husband Reid have homeschooled their two children their entire lives, which revealed to her a love for her language and culture she had previously taken for granted. Her work as a professional educator and experience as a home educator has further stoked a passion for education and the inherent experimentation needed to discover the best possible approach for each unique and individual child. She has also tutored privately as an au pair before starting her own business as a Spanish tutor, as well as leading classes at the co-ops her children have attended.

John and Meagan have had the pleasure of serving at Learning with Grace since the first year when Meagan joined as a tutor.  They also have gotten to experience the joy of seeing their own children grow because of the love and care of the staff at LWG. They have served in a variety of capacities on the service team in addition to tutoring over the years and bring that experience to the board. John pastors a church on the midshore of Maryland and brings his heart for discipleship to our ministry.
