We will be using Accelerated Christian Education paces for our math classes because of their mastery format. When using this style of curriculum, along with teacher explanations, students feel confident in their mathematical skills. Fourth addition Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) math curriculum has scripture as its foundation, fully integrating Biblical principles, wisdom, and character-building concepts into education. There are 12 thin workbooks with tests for each level. Students only need to bring one pace with them at a time.
In Math 7 (Pace 1073-1084), the students read, write, and work with whole and mixed numbers, integers, and fractions, both proper and improper. They learn to change fractions and decimals to percents; find the mean, mode, median, range, and rank; use proper mathematical terminology, and interpret graphs. Students are introduced to business and consumer arithmetic, review geometric concepts and find perimeter, circumference, and surface area.
They learn Biblical principles of finance, budgeting, saving, investing, and bank services and review units of length, volume, weight, and temperature. They work with basic geometry concepts and symbols and will use a protractor and compass to find perimeter and area of shapes and solids. Students solve equations and word problems.

In Math 8 (PACE 1085–1096), students gain mastery of exponents, and solve one, two, and multi-step equations and inequalities, including equations containing fractions and exponents. They expand their knowledge of ratios and proportions and use them to solve application and word problems in similarity, scaling, and unit costs. Students use the Pythagorean Theorem, analyze and interpret data and graphs, and express probability as ratios, decimals, and percents. They review basic geometric concepts, symbols, shapes, and constructions, including translations, reflections, and rotations on a coordinate plane. Students convert between the English and metric systems of measurement and Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin temperature scales. They expand their knowledge of business and consumer mathematics by working with sales, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, interest payments on loans, property tax, and life and auto insurance.

Join us as we study the stars, sun, moon, and sky together. Students will look at the skies and all that is in and beyond them through a Biblical lens. The Heavens declare the glory of God and we want our students to know that as they dig deep into the depths of God's creation. We will not just read about these concepts, but work with great visuals and activities to fully engage our minds in this amazing science. With Bible and telescope in hand, we will learn how people throughout history have searched the skies and seen God's beautiful handiwork!

Writing is a critical tool for all of us as we grow regardless of where life takes us. It is a way for us to share our unique thoughts, values, and lives. Through writing, we get to tell a story and paint a picture for those who read what we have to say. Whether academic, in business, or in our personal lives, we must be able to use our words to communicate effectively. In this class, students will be given opportunities to sharpen their pencils and skills as they learn about different genres of writing and put that knowledge into practice. Through engaging and creative assignments, we will prepare them to use words to express the greatness of God and the world in which He placed them. They will learn to be concise, grammatically sound, and creative writers in all of their work.
