Orca math covers standard notation, expanded notation, comparing and ordering mixed numbers, fractions, and decimals. Graphically representing and interpeting data from various displays, probability, and solving word problems. Your student will learn order of operations, positive and negative exponents, variables, and how to solve algebraic equations. They will multiply and divide pos/neg integers, read and write equations, plot and identify plotted points on a plane,write numbers in scientific notation, use ratios, proportions, and more.

We may also lead worship during chapel at times. We will be using soundtracks that will be made available to all ,so students can practice at home. This can be used as a Music and/or PE credit.

**This class fulfills the requirements for 1 credit of a foreign language for high school students.**
The course introduces students to effective strategies for beginning Spanish language learning, and to various aspects of Spanish-speaking culture. It focuses on the four basic language skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will be introduced to common vocabulary, phrases, and concepts necessary for daily interpersonal interaction. This course encourages interpersonal communication through speaking and writing by providing opportunities to make and respond to basic requests and questions, to understand and use appropriate greetings and forms of address, to participate in brief guided conversations on familiar topics, and to write short passages with guidance.
